Oppo launches Special Red Edition of the R9s in time for CNY
Would a new smartphone renew good luck and prosperity for the year ahead? We don’t know, but Oppo might have a clue. The Chinese smartphone brand decided to introduce the Oppo R9s Special Red Edition here, making us the first country outside of China and Taiwan to access it.
It shares the same features and specifications with the regular R9s that started retail here back in 10th December 2016. To recap, it offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 16-megapixel front and rear cameras, 3,000mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge, and it’s “six-string” antenna lines feature that helps the smartphone operate across a broader range of 4G and Wi-Fi signals – all this, in a 98.9% metal body. Really, the only difference is the color Red, instead of its regular Gold and Rose Gold variants.
It’s also priced like the regular Oppo R9s – at S$679. You can grab it at the following locations now, with limited stocks available:
