Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 a hit, Mi 5c spotted, Instagram live stories global rollout and new budget Intex 4G VoLTE phones - PhoneBunch Daily

In the weeks leading up to MWC 2017, we are going to see fewer launches with January being one of the busiest months. We have already seen the Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X, Coolpad Cool 1 launch in quick succession. But there's still a lot more to talk about what's happening in the smartphone space, so let's begin with today's PhoneBunch Daily.

First, let's get to the Redmi Note 4 which went on its first flash sale on the 23rd and the company has just revealed that they sold more than 2.5 lakh units in just 10 minutes flat. The Redmi Note 4 may end up being even more popular than the Redmi Note 3 which was the segment leader earlier. Huawei too took cues from Xiaomi's pricing and launched the 3GB RAM variant of the Honor 6X at a much cheaper price in India than international markets. The 3GB Honor 6X costs Rs. 12999 in India, same as the 4GB RAM variant of the Redmi Note 4.

Talking about another Xiaomi product, the Mi 5C was spotted again today with Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM and 12MP rear camera. It is expected to come with 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage. The metal-clad smartphone with 2.5D curved glass in the front is expected to launch in February in China priced below Rs. 20000. With a 5.5-inch 1080p display, the Mi 5C won't be as petite as the original Mi 5, but it is expected to be thin.
