We had already seen several renders and a few live images of the upcoming LG G6. Now a fresh set of renders of the smartphone have surfaced from the popular case maker Ringke. This coincides with earlier leaks and also confirms the earlier rumor that the phone will come in matte finish and glossy back versions.
These images show rounded design, brushed metal back and narrow bezels on the sides.
On the top there is a small earpiece grill along with the sensors and the front camera.
There is a dual camera setup at the back followed by the fingerprint sensor which will also work as a power button. The volume rockers are present on the left while SIM card slot is situated on the right
The 3.5mm audio headphone jack is present at the top along with a microphone and two antenna bands. At the bottom, the phone has a single speaker to the right of the USB Type-C port, microphone and antenna bands.
LG Display recently introduced world’s first 5.7-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ LCD panel with a 18:9 aspect ratio that will be used in the G6. LG already said that the phone will have heat pipes to lower the heat, so safety is greatly enhanced. LG also confirmed that the phone will be comfortable to hold without slipping out of your hand and will be waterproof.
Previous report had stated that the G6 will not be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and instead will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It is expected to feature a non-removable battery and Google Assistant.
We should know all the details of the LG G6 at its MWC 2017 conference in Barcelona on February 26th at 12:00 PM CET (4:30 PM IST).
