BlackBerry will launch its 'Mercury' phone on 25th February
Last month, we found out that BlackBerry will license its name to Chinese manufacturer TCL who will design, manufacture, sell, and support all future BlackBerry-branded mobile devices. It looks like the first of these devices will be unveiled on 25th February, two days before Mobile World Congress 2017.
BlackBerry were showing off a prototype device at CES 2017 called the 'Mercury'. This is likely to be the phone launched at the event. The Mercury seen at CES had a physical QWERTY keyboard and was powered by Android. Specs-wise, current rumors suggest the mid-range device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB of RAM. The rear camera is likely to be an 18-megapixel shooter (like the Blackberry Priv) with an 8-megapixel front camera.
