It has been over a year and a half since Samsung launched the well-received Galaxy Tab S2, but a recent leak suggests Samsung may finally launch its successor in the coming days.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 may feature a 9.6-inch screen, 32gigs of storage and a 12-MP rear cam.
Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, the presumed successor to the Galaxy Tab S2, recently surfaced on GFXBench, suggesting that the Korean smartphone giant may finally launch the device in the coming months. While leaks of the device have so far been rare, the fact that the specs finally made it to GFXBench indicates that Samsung tablets fans may finally have reason to rejoice.

According to the leaked specifications, instead of an 8-inch display like in the Galaxy Tab S2, the Galaxy Tab S3 may feature a larger 9.6-inch display but its resolution will remain the same at 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. While the Galaxy Tab S2 featured an octa-core 1.9GHz processor, the Galaxy Tab S3 will arrive with a much more capable Snapdragon 820 processor which can rock clock speeds of up to 2.2GHz.

Other leaked specifications include an on-board storage of 32GB, same as that in the predecessor but a 4GB RAM instead of a 3GB one. The rear camera resolution has been upgraded from 8-MP to 12-MP and instead of Android 5.1 Lollipop in its predecessor, the tablet will run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS on-board.
Back in July, Sammobile had suggested that the Galaxy Tab S3 may launch at IFA in September along with the Gear S3 smartwatch but Samsung only released the latter without making any mention of the former. Ever since it released the Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung has also launched the 12-inch Galaxy TabPro S, its first tablet running Windows 10 OS as well as the Galaxy View, a large 18.4-inch device featuring 4G LTE, 32GB of storage, additional storage through microSD, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.1 and pre-loaded CNN, CBS, Twitch, Netflix and Hulu apps.
